Pavlína Čambalová
Pavlína Čambalová is a glass artist specializing in engraved glass, moldavite engraving, and the combination of glass techniques, including vitrography. After studying glyptics and artistic glass, she spent eight years in Vienna as a glass engraver, dedicating her free time to workshops, symposia, and residencies to refine her craft. She has taught and exhibited internationally and, since 2016, has been based in her studio in Železný Brod, where she continues to create and share her distinctive glass art.
Michael Endo
Michael Endo is an artist and curator whose work has been exhibited internationally at venues including The National Glass Centre (UK), Disjecta (Oregon), Yuan Yuan Art Center (China), and Bullseye Projects (USA and Scotland). He earned an M.F.A. in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2009 and a B.A. from Portland State University in 2005. From 2009 to 2018, Endo served as Curator at Bullseye Projects. In 2019, he and his partner, Emily Endo, founded High Desert Observatory in the Mojave Desert. He is currently Artistic Director at Pilchuck Glass School, working between Yucca Valley, California, and Stanwood, Washington.
Paloma Pastor
PhD in Geography and History from the University of Madrid (UAM). Director of the Glass Technology Museum at the Royal Glass Factory since 1999 and former Professor of Glass History at the Superior School of Glass (2007–2017). Chair of ICOM Glass (2007–2013) and coordinator of international glass conferences. Collaborator on European projects such as Vidroso and European Glass Experiences. Member of editorial boards for leading art and glass journals, curator of temporary glass exhibitions, and author of over one hundred twenty articles and several monographs on Spanish and La Granja glass. Responsible for safeguarding the Knowledge, craft techniques, and skills of handmade glass production” file for UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Spain.
Milan Hlaveš
Mgr. Milan Hlaveš, Ph.D., is a Czech art historian and curator specializing in modern and contemporary glass and ceramics, including porcelain. He has held senior curatorial positions at leading Czech institutions, notably the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (1998–2020), and currently works at the Museum of Prague. Since 2009, he has been a professional collaborator of the Stanislav Libenský Award.
Lin Zhang
Mr. Zhang Lin founded the Shanghai Museum of Glass in 2011, introducing an innovative, interactive, and community-oriented concept that redefined the modern museum experience. Under his leadership, a former industrial site was transformed into a dynamic cultural park showcasing a refined post-industrial 17 lifestyle. Recognized by CNNGO as one of China’s “three must-see museums,” the museum has become a prominent international art and cultural landmark. Mr. Zhang has curated major international exhibitions, including the influential cross-disciplinary project “Annealing” (2015), promoting creative collaboration through glass art. A strong advocate for global artistic exchange, he has served as a judge and advisor for leading art institutions and exhibitions worldwide. Today, the museum welcomes over one million visitors and ranks among the top three most influential museums in Shanghai. Mr. Zhang also serves as Board Director of the China Museum Association and Vice President of the Shanghai Museum Association.
